The Snap4Parking: Snap4City Smart Parking solution is a Digital Twin significatively contributing to the operation management and sustainability of municipalities to serve city users (residents, operators, and visitors) and to more efficiently manage the use of resources in combination with the collected and analysed data and AI. The main goals are the reduction of emissions informing the drivers of the free slots in simple and timely manners, routing capabilities, and predictive information, supporting parking solutions off- and on-roads, any kind of parking slots and users, supporting a large range of modalities of payments and business models which can be differentiated by area and by municipalities, and that supports the possibility of taking into account permissions and subscriptions (for parking, for entering in restricted zones, using services, delivering), special needs of disables, city operators, residential, commercial operators, etc.
The Snap4Parking provides views/dashboards for the different services, municipalities and operators. The Solution allows at the operators to keep under control the status of: parking sensors on-roads, off-road parking facilities, gates for entering in the city or parking areas (Snap4Gates), revenues, KPI, and for deciding the best payment profiles for the different city areas and services. The payment profiles can be fully customized based on duration and time of the day, for guest, residents, and registered users (which exploit more features in the service). The solution supports a range of payment modalities including wallets (via Snap4City Mobile App, see Smart Cyprus), credit cards, parking paying pole on road, or at the entrance of the off-road parking, etc. Other solutions are available as well, such as the automated authorization via car plate recognition, the usage of transponders for the authorization at the entrance on parking or areas, the recognition of RFID/Bluetooth IDs for automated registration/match with the sensors, etc. The combinations of the above-mentioned payments / authentication systems with the user profiling and business models allows to set up a large range of solutions which satisfy all the needs of cities and parking operators, and, in most cases, they can be active on the same platform, on different municipalities and areas. From the field, the Smart Solution receives and/or collects notifications from: parking sensors on the roads (a range of them can be used: LoraWan, NBIOT, etc.), simplified parking procedure based on RFID and/or Bluetooth, meters, on-road operators, etc.
All the results and parameters are view/set from the views/dashboards of the graphic interface which can be provided with different customized user interfaces and styles.
For parking operators, integrating the SnapAdvisor AI agentic assistant into a Snap4Parking and permissions management system can provide an intelligent operational layer that continuously analyzes occupancy, access rights, permits, user interactions, anomalies, and service performance. SnapAdvisor can help operators detect critical situations, forecast congestion or capacity issues, identify unauthorized or unusual parking behavior, summarize operational KPIs, suggest corrective actions, and support permit and access-management workflows through natural-language interaction. The Snap4City Mobile App for city users (see Smart Cyprus Mobile App) provides services for the drivers which are looking for parking, informing them of free parking lots in their preferred area, and predictions, providing rates, and accounting them only the effective number of minutes they stay or by using pay in advance (if the business models has been selected), also receiving notifications some minutes before the parking time expiration. The mobile app helps drivers to pay less, to fast reach the parking with precise routing; and simplify life to residents, disabled and operators using specific permissions / subscriptions for parking. Other business models based on time slots and minimum parking time can be viable as well per area and per municipality, supporting free parking period and grace time. The payment and permissions can refer to parking, and to the access to restricted areas as well. The Snap4City Mobile App for city users supports multi services, multiple cities and may include parking, info mobility, permissions, production of complains, payments, monitoring the city conditions, monitoring wastes conditions, etc.
Snap4Parking also includes back office and a Mobile App for the Enforcement of Fines for On-Road Operators, which is provided to the municipality operators to easily identify the areas in which their intervention would be needed, the number of infractions for unpermitted parking and overparking, the path to reach them. The operators can issue any kind of fines directly on the mobile app as well as on the central station, and in automation when possible and requested. The operators can load videos and pictures, and print the official ticket to leave it on the “car-glass”. The operators in the central station can monitor the activities of the on-road operators, to manage their deploy provide suggestions/messages.
