TC11.8 - Signed Consent, Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, Cookies Policy

Goal

To complete the registration process, the user has to accept the terms and conditions and the privacy policy via a signed consent mechanism.

The user ticks the single checkboxes for the acceptance of the different terms about: Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, Terms and Conditions.

If the user does not provide its signed consent the registration process is blocked and the user cannot be registered on the platform.

Prerequisites

A PC and a network connection.

Expected successful result

The user can finalize the registration procedure only if he accept the Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, Cookies Policy.

Steps

 

 

In Snap4City, when the user is going to provide access to his/her personal data has to provide a signed consent.

These situations are mainly: At registration on the platform; When register a new IOT Device; When request an IOT Applications.  The signed consent can be extended to other points if needed.

The user access to the Snap4City portal at the link https://www.snap4city.org to ask for a new account registration and click the Request a new account link.

The page to ask a new account is opened.

To go ahead with the registration process, the user has to mandatory tick the three checkboxes otherwise the registration is blocked. 

If the Privacy Policy, the Terms and Conditions and the Cookies Policy pages are updated, the registered user has to express again the signed consent immediately after the log-in.

All the signed consent are log, and at each change of the terms of use, the system sends the informative to the users ask returning on the portal to resign the consent.
