Test Case Title |
TC3.9 - Dashboard with automated update per widget on Dashboard and on AMMA, DevDash, etc. |
Goal |
I can set Dashboard widgets to have an automated update feature. After a pre-defined time, the widget data are updated automatically, independently if the value changed or not. |
Prerequisites |
Using a PC or Mobile with a web browser. The following functionalities are available only for specific Snap4city users with specific privileges. |
Expected successful result |
Production of a dashboard with automated update. |
Steps |
|
Please note that some of the following links could be accessible only for registered users.
- Widgets in City Dashboards can have a time period that can be defined by the user that is representing the widget refresh time. Each widget can have an independent refresh time.
- Also widgets in Developer Dashbaords, AMMA and ResDash can have a pre-defined widget update time. For these dashboards the refresh time is valid for the whole dashboard.
- Access to the following dashboard: https://main.snap4city.org/view/index.php?iddasboard=MjE4
- On the top right corner of the widgets showing data, a number is present representing the number of minutes left for the widget update.
- Passed the refresh time, widgets are reloaded and data updated, if new data are available.
- The dashboard https://main.snap4city.org/view/index.php?iddasboard=MTU1 presents different widgets with different refresh time.
Also, dashboards for developers (DevDash, AMMA and ResDash) have a defined widget update time. The value is unique for the whole dashboard and different widgets cannot have independent update time.
The time update period can be set in the first widget on the top left “TIME WINDOW”.
By clicking in the cog icon of the TIME WINDOW widget, in the Panel tab it is possible to set a different auto-refresh interval expressed in seconds.
To confirm the new settings, it is necessary to save the dashboard.
