Titolo: Metodi e tecniche di Intelligenza Artificiale per la comprensione di testi e stima di rischio, modelli predittivi per la gestione dei sinistri sanitari
Il dottorando potrà inserirsi nel contesto del DISIT lab per lo sviluppo della tesi di dottorato e della sua formazione in ambito AI, Explainable AI e NLP (natural language processing), in stretta collaborazione con l’ospedale Universitario di Careggi nel contesto dell’ecosistema di innovazione del PNRR chiamato “The Tuscany Health Ecosystem”. Il Dottorando si dovrà occupare dello studio e sviluppo di soluzioni di AI per la comprensione del testo per esempio con tecniche BERT, Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers, explained BERT, per la comprensione del testo oltre allo sviluppo di modelli AI di predizione dei rischio. Il dominio applicativo è quello di area medico legale, che si specializza sulla terminologia medico-legale e sulla stima del rischio di contenzioso. Si prevedono integrazioni con ontologie e knowledge base in ambito medico, e con tecniche di graph neural network, GNN, nonché tecniche di transfer learning, generative, etc. Gli obbiettivi possono essere multipli, la predizione del rischio di vertenza, della complessità della stessa, , l’influenza dei vari fattori (tipologia di errore e di danno, disciplina, competenza dei consulenti e legali, tipologia di paziente, ecc.), la classificazione delle vertenze, produzione delle sintesi, predizione di evoluzione e di impatto economico, anonimizzazione automatica, etc.
L’ospedale universitario di Careggi è un polo nazionale e la struttura primaria ospedaliera per la Toscana. DISIT Lab è uno dei lab più attivi in Toscana sui temi di AI/XAI e NLP, è coinvolto nel CBDAI (centro regionale Big Data AI), nodo CINI Big data, etc., anche in relazione alle piattaforme Https://www.snap4city.org e Twitter Vigilance, ed alla collaborazione con vari enti su queste tematiche di AI e NLP.

Title: Artificial Intelligence methods and techniques for the understanding of texts and risk estimation, Predictive models for healthcare claims management
The student will be able to enter the context of the DISIT lab for the development of the doctoral thesis and its training in the AI, Explainable AI and NLP (natural language processing) fields, in close collaboration with the Careggi University Hospital in the context of the ecosystem of innovation of the PNRR called “The Tuscany Health Ecosystem”. The PhD student will have to deal with the study and development of AI solutions for understanding the text, for example with BERT techniques, Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers, explainable BERT, for understanding the text as well as the development of AI risk prediction models. The application domain is that of the medico-legal area, which specializes in medico-legal terminology and the assessment of the risk of litigation. Integrations are envisaged with ontologies and knowledge bases in the medical field, and with graph neural network techniques, GNN, as well as transfer learning, generative techniques, etc. The objectives can be multiple, the prediction of the risk of litigation, the assessment of complexity, the i assessment of nfluence of the various factors (type of error and damage, discipline, competence of consultants and lawyers, type of patient, etc.), classification of disputes, production of summaries, prediction of evolution and economic impact, automatic anonymization, etc.
The University Hospital of Careggi is a national center and the primary hospital structure for Tuscany. DISIT Lab is one of the most active labs in Tuscany on AI / XAI and NLP issues, it is involved in the CBDAI (Big Data AI Tuscany regional center), CINI Big data node, etc., also in relation to the platforms Https://www.snap4city.org and Twitter Vigilance of DISIT, and to the collaboration with various bodies on these issues of AI and NLP.
